Lahr athletes at the Special Olympics State Games, sponsored by METALTEX
From March 7th to March 12th, the Georg-Wimmer-Schule SBBZ was present at the Special Olympics in Todtnauberg with four students, in cooperation with two students from the MPG Lahr.
After two training days on the Feldberg, another training session was unfortunately not possible due to bad weather conditions. The planned competition day on Friday also had to be canceled due to heavy rain and storm. The giant slalom could take place on Saturday in beautiful weather and snow. All athletes have qualified for the national Special Olympics Winter Games in Thuringia.
We are pleased that the Special Olympics could finally take place again after the pandemic interruption and that a competition day could be held.
