Blu Moon, the boat sponsored by Metaltex, retained its European title by becoming 2014 champion in the Melges 24 class.
The team led by skipper Matteo Ivaldi, gained two first places and a second place out of their five races on the last day of the championships, besting some fierce opponents to deservedly win the coveted title. The crew dedicated their victory to Flavio Favini, the renowned Blu Moon helmsman who was absent through injury.
Blu Moon is now Swiss Champion 2013, European Champion 2014 and World Champion 2014.
