Last November 21st, we proudly activated a new photovoltaic system at our headquarters in Genestrerio, where both the Metaltex SA offices and our Swiss production facility are located. This initiative represents a significant step forward towards a more sustainable management of our business.
The system, composed of 1,322 photovoltaic modules and with a total power of 575 kWp, has been designed to produce approximately 600,000 kWh of electricity per year. It will allow us to cover a significant part of our energy needs, and reduce our dependence on traditional energy sources.
This system adds to those already installed at our German branch in January 2012 and at the Italian branch in October 2023, reinforcing our group’s shared commitment to reducing our environmental impact.
We would like to acknowledge the contribution of the companies that made this project possible: Ecosinergie Tienergy, which took care of the installation of the entire system; Elettro-Celio SA, which took care of the electrical part; and EPS Energiepool Schweiz AG, which acted as entrepreneur.
This achievement not only represents a significant step towards sustainability, but also paves the way for future developments that will allow us to further strengthen the Metaltex group’s commitment to the environment.
